Hello everyone! I’d like to share a bit about Risa Magli, a lovely lingerie brand founded by Shinnosuke Kodama (児玉 伸之祐) in 1986. Risa Magli’s concept is, according to World Corp, which acquired the company in 2014, "Based on a 'classy contemporary' style, it incorporates moderate trends to express cuteness and femininity." This is a loose translation, so I'm guessing that moderate is supposed to mean modern... or maybe modest? Modest doesn't really make sense, though, considering that this is a lingerie brand lol.
Fun fact! Risa Magli made history in 1998 as the first Japanese brand to participate in the prestigious Paris lingerie exhibition, Salon International de la Lingerie. Shinnosuke's wife, Misako (美佐子), who was the chief designer until her passing, attended the event alongside him. After her passing, their daughter, Lisa Kodama (児玉 リサ), took up the mantle and is now the chief designer. She continues the family legacy by creating beautiful lingerie just like her mother did.
